Starting August 2010, we will shift gear and support the
LONDON-SYDNEY by PERSONAL WATERCRAFT
JEREMY BURFOOT, an airline captain from New Zealand, is a cancer (melanoma) survivor. In 2006, he completed 5,000 km on a Seadoo around New Zealand to raise cancer awareness, particularly skin cancer. He now plans to take his message of healthy lifestyle and cancer prevention half-way around the world,
from London to Sydney.
'To promote a message of healthy living and cancer prevention and
raise funds for cancer research'.
"LIVE SMART - LIVE LONG"
Since DHF's mission is to restore health to ocean communities, we decided to join the London-Sydney Trust in their effort and will accompany Jeremy Burfoot and his team. Aboard the DOMINO catamaran, our working platform, we will support the riders in their crossings. At each stop, we will conduct cancer education workshops and media interviews. On-board cameras with on-line streaming will give world-access to messages promoting healthy lifestyles.
